Even if you haven't attended, you've probably heard of Albuquerque's legendary Church of Beethoven. The Sunday morning "services" feature a mix of eclectic music styles from marimba to hip hop, plus spoken word, topped off by intimate performances of classical music by local and regional musicians. The Mozart Gran Partita for Winds, K361, and Lisa Gill, poet, will be featured this Sunday, August 30th at the Kosmos Art Space on Fifth Street and the railroad tracks north of downtown.
In the meantime, see the story of the Church, including interviews with founder Felix Wurman and others, Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 6 pm on Encantada TV, Channel 26 on Albuquerque Comcast. The hour-long presentation is brought to you by Music From the Q.
