LEAH BLACK- Mover & shaker, body tapper, random hip-mover. Sometimes I even get "gutsy" and attempt to play guitar on stage...usually just percussive instruments though, but always belting out, full of soul, for the pure joy of it! And whomever wants to rawk with me!!!

A little about me...

A well defined personality with over ten years of on-air radio experience. Radio/TV personality, songwriter, vocalist and performer, Leah Black has been lighting up the Albuquerque scene since 2002. The talented Miss Leah has received the honor of being one of The Local Alibi's "Best Of Burque" in the Best Vocalist catagory. She also was voted Best Vocalist by Albuquerque The Magazine.

Morning Show Co-Host, ‘John & The Pop Tarts’ - 2006 to Present
93.3 KOB-FM, Albuquerque’s Pop Music Channel!
Co-host the city's highest rated morning talk show for the 5:30-10a.m. morning drive slot. Notable guests include Tony Kanal(No Doubt), Samantha Harris(Dancing w/the Stars), Linkin Park, Fall-Out Boy, Maroon 5, Christina Milian, Jessica Simpson, Sheryl Crow, No Doubt, New Kids on the Block, Billy Bob Thornton, Shaggy and Rachel Ray.

Afternoon Show Host, 2003 to 2006
93.3 KOB-FM, Albuquerque’s Pop Music Channel!
Hosted the top-rated afternoon drive-time pop culture show, 2–7p.m. Notable guests included Natasha Bedingfield, Dave Matthews & Paula Abdul.

Morning Show Co-Host - 2002 to 2003
103.3 The ZONE, New Mexico’s Alternative Rock
Co-hosted Albuquerque's only alternative rock morning show with heritage talent Michael Moxey. Notable guests included Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane’s Addiction, Audioslave, Korn, Disturbed, Chevelle, Dishwalla, Henry Rollins, Lenny Kravitz, Scott Baio, No Doubt, Sheryl Crow & Garbage.

On-Air Personality/Producer - 1998 to 2002
Clear Channel Broadcasting-Denver
Co-hosted Denver's consistently #1 rock controversial night show. Notable guests included Insane Clown Posse, Bush, Godsmack, Goo Goo Dolls, Everlast, Stone Temple Pilots & John Elway. Produced jingles for sister stations in the Denver Clear Channel cluster, also worked in the promotions department and the Clear Channel Concerts division.

Additional Accomplishments:

-Extensive hosting experience on the CW Network-‘Reel Weekend Movies’
-Broad Commercial/Print work for local CO & NM TV stations & publications
-Regularly performs the National Anthem at numerous venues/events across the nation
-Performs original music around Albuquerque and outside of New Mexico
-Voted ‘Best Vocalist’ by Albuquerque the Magazine & The Alibi
-Major involvement in community outreach programs and fundraiser events.
-Spokesperson/donor for United Blood Services of New Mexico
