Paul man!!! I love how your different styles are honestly, different styles!!! When I come up with something that's not in a certain style, I always feel like I have to work at it to capture that "new style" I created within my music.…
Gregg, You are actually pretty close to me, geographically. I am in Champaign. I'd like to explore what you were talking about. I have some music in libraries and I peddle jingles. Please contact me at paul@brainhog.org
Thanks a bunch.
My wife and I own a couple of Smoothie Kings and aside from that I teach guitar. Yes, I do this full time. It is not lucrative in the least. I am paying my dues. It's a damned rough road when you have a wife and kids. Hopefully by the end of…
Exactly. Thanks for the info. I have thought about giving jingle writing a try, but never followed through. I'll be sure to have my shit together before I through myself out there.
By the way, how the hell are you? Is music your full-time gig?…
If you want to get in to jingles, you need to put together a reel of 5-6 demo jingles. They need to be authentic... maybe fictitious products or businesses, but they have to be representative of what you will do for a client. Make up some nice…
The lead guitarist, Chris Sumruld, set up the web site. He also has a studio, and that is where we record, so he's also the engineer. I haven't taken time to listen to your music, but will do so now.

I can't stop writing and playing music. I've tried. It keeps shooting out of me.... yes, like that. I grew up in Roswell, NM and my heart still lives there. I got in to writing and recording music in the mid-eighties and even had a few songs on Roswell radio. Boy, was I cool!
I write in a lot of different styles and lately I have focused on music for tv and movies. I've written everything from orchestral music, folk music, and polkas, to country, electronica, and metal. Most of the time, my music is upbeat and exciting.
In 2008 I played guitar on and arranged a Loretta Lynn project. Also, I was flown to Burbank, CA to be on a reality show for jingle writers.
Some notable projects include the theme song for the Dallas Cowboys coach's program, theme music for the Dallas Stars and Mavericks, numerous projects for "The Ticket" radio in Dallas. I am constantly writing and welcome inquiries.

It sounds like it's easily captured for you. I love your production too, great stuff man!!

By the way, how the hell are you? Is music your full-time gig? I truly love your music on this site. I am always impressed when I hear several songs by one artist and you can tell the songs apart. So often times musicians will play the same damn song 10 times in a row with subtle changes to the lyrics and call it ten different songs.
Liz Servis told me you were on here and that I needed to get on here too. I will eventually add some photos and some music. I will also start a page for my band, The Betternauts. Wooops. I better be careful on my wording. Let me re-phrase that. The band that I am in, the Betternauts.
