Planet of Chaos!

Seth Gentry was born May 5 1986 into an evangelical Southern Baptist household. His father was a minister and his mom was a preachers wife. Seth began having an interest in music very young first with ballroom dancing when he was 7. It was then he grew an appreciation for Elvis Presley. When Seth was 11 years old he started taking guitar lessons so he could play Elvis songs. After two years, it became apparent that Seth could write songs as well as sing. The earliest recording of Seth was in 1998 when Seth was 12 and it was a gospel track entitled God’s Love. It wasn’t till years later in 2006, after Seth was fed up with trying to find the right musicians to form a band, that Seth began writing/recording his debut project: Planet of Chaos. Since Seth had had experience in Blues, Jazz, Rock, and Metal he wanted a sound that would encompass it all… And that is what you get in Planet of Chaos… A raw, organic compound of vintage, melodic, and hard tones!!

Planet of Chaos is a vehicle for individual artist’s self promotion. Every musician he works with is as dynamic and eclectic as he is. Please contact him via this site or www.myspace.com/planetofchaos if you are interested in working on Planet of Chaos either though live shows or on his debut album.

The State of the LA Musician

SOS! Mayday Mayday!!! We're crashing. That's pretty much it! Right there in a nutshell. I can only describe the state of the LA musician as being like a plane crash... Only there's no pilot flying the plane on it's way down.. That guy abandoned the plane once it started sputtering and went, "To hell with all of those loser, fags!" Who could blame him?

One would think to one's self? There are tons of musicians out in LA! Yeah, exactly! There are so many musicians but so few professional… Continue

PLANET OF CHAOS NEEDS A BASS PLAYER AND ORGANIST

Posted on January 27, 2009 at 5:30pm 0 Comments

Are you or do you know someone in the LA area that can either play keys, or bass and can do backup vocals? Planet of Chaos needs a bassist and an organ player with experience in Blues and Jazz who can also do rock music. Live shows and finishing up the debut album are the most important things on Planet of Chaos' agenda. As for me, Seth, I'm the most chill music project director you will find. Show up on time and have the songs ready to go and keep a professional attitude is all I ask from… Continue

The Band Is Assembling!

Posted on January 24, 2009 at 11:25pm 0 Comments

The past few weeks I've been trying out bass players with my new powerhouse drummer, Alejandra Arrellano. First of all, Alejandra is a seasoned pro and has an instruction video that has been mentioned in guitar magazine. She's excited about this project as much as I am. So as of now I'm just trying to find the right bass player. He's gotta have just enough blues and jazz with rock. Once I have the right bass player I'll need a keyboardist. Now, the right keyboardist is going to be hard to come… Continue
