Hey Jim - Currently, i'm available till March 31 (wed), longer if another project passes on me. I'd like to read the script to scope production sound issues. I generally recommend two-system sound (in-camera mic for tracking the rough…

My short bio
Audio engineer and writer (novel & screenplay)

A resident of NM since the days of 'Easy Rider' and 'Silverado', now ‘Terminator Salvation’ and ‘No Country for Old Men’…

The incentives have helped a strapped industry to return back to our land of entrapment. Independent filmmakers sprout up weekly, chasing our elusive light to bottle it, in hopes of recognition and enlivening a sullied audience...

A devotee of the Light & Sound teachings, I love to swing the boom for well stocked Mixers, aggressively catching the subtlest inflection. I cable, too, 'cause all mixers deserve to focus on the moment at hand. I mix/boom for small budget shows and shorts, building my kit’s inventory monthly (12 projects in 2008).

I write to capture sound realizations as well -- a cynic's transformation.

Her cringed face, washed out in the harsh noon overhead, gradually relaxed as Jake's shadow slipped in, shading her eyes enough for them both to open. Finally understanding her reason, his own brow softened, slow, in the time it took for a long, last breath to pass Sami's blood-caked lips. Caught now in his arms, she became the freedom he…

(okay, at the moment, the cheese is spread pretty free here)

Keep me in mind. I'm a jack-of-all-trades (locations, set dec/dress, video village, AD) - a real renaissance man.

I have written a short film and will need some help. We will start with a script breakdown next week and a shooting schedule. Casting, locations, and crew hires will take place over the next three weeks. Anyone interested in playing in roles please email your resume and headshot to newmexicocasting@yahoo.com and I will send you the script with potential roles. Pass this email address on to those interested in being in this film.

We need camera operators with equipment, sound and lights people with equipment, video editing folk with equipment, we need Director, 1st AD, 2nd AD and around 3 PAs to work over the course of 6 shooting days. These will be paying jobs at the low low budget rate. If you fit these categories please email me your information and list of equipment.

Shooting locations will be Socorro and Los Lunas to start filming at the end of March beginning of April.
