Hey Everyone,
If you're looking for an Editor let me know. I'm new to the area and fairly new to the "film industry" but have been a strong editor for video production work for the past few years.
Video work has been fun but I'd really like to get into short or feature film work so if you have a project you're working on and need an editor feel free to contact me.

Daylight is peeking in around the sides of my makeshift curtains, I'm watching the clock tick away at precious minutes of sleep.... Unrest is a feeling that I abhor with every fiber, drop, and cell within my body. It never seems to be specific, rather it wants to drape itself over both my conscious and subconscious beings, and fester and rot. I wouldn't call them nightmares this week, perhaps maybe just a battle between common sense and overwhelming desire and ambition.
Either way, wanderin…

Legislators need to hear not only from us but from the vendors we use
in the community that the film business is valuable to them. We need to
emphasize not only the good we have done for the State but the good we
plan to do in the future especially for our high school and college
graduates. Having your local politicians contact the legislators really
helps. Down south while you need to talk to everyone may I strongly
suggest you put an emphasis on Senator Fishman – a democrat who needs
better in…

I'm pretty sure, that somewhere up high, there is a god that created three specific flavors of jelly belly ambrosia JUST to F&$# with infidels like me that are supposed to be on serious nutrition plans. All three of those flavors are in my possession right now, while I glare at a massive pile of laundry like it is going to fold itself out of sheer terror at the thought of spontaneous combustion. Considering my apartment building on good old High street erupted in flames just a month ago, I t…

"Soliloquy"
Unrest is my harbinger, the howling that wakes you at all hours of the
night, my herald. I will neither sneak into, nor fall upon your world.
I will arrive in dawn's earliest gloom, amidst the quiet fanfare of
gravel underfoot and wind sighing through my hair. 'Neath my feet, the
earth will both tremble and prosper, grateful to revel in the rains
that will inevitably tumble towards it. The sky will not lighten today,
perhaps no…

“Da Vinci Code” Old News
Dear Editor:
I finally read Dan Brown’s “The Da Vinci Code”—oooooh!
The sacred feminine subjugated, demonized, and dismissed in the name of greed, fear, and power-hungry politicians ... what a REVOLUTIONARY SECRET!
And She only speaks to us through the mysteries of symbolism, intricacies of nature, and intimate connection with what Jung refers to as our “shadow self.” OOOH!
I’m so glad a MAN wrote about it as FICTION so everybody could take it “seriously”....

“Zeitgeist, U.S.A.” Erupts - Now Can We Come Together?
Last week I walked into a local culture corner for some coffee and smack into a furious eddy of conversation. The topic? John Biscello’s most recent literary-cum-dramatic ejaculation, “Zeitgeist, U.S.A.” Not since “The Vagina Monologues” – which I also enjoyed multiple times – have I seen a gender’s voice so effectively exposed. I’ve been wondering when the voice of Manthing would cry out from the psychosexual wilderness.
I’d say the veil…

This is the beginning, as of today I am fully monolingual, by the end of the year I will be bilingual.
This is my first blog in my quest to learn Spanish; all the troubles, the trying, and chronicling of the results will be written here. I fear failing *again* but I think that writing this will help me keep going.
Visit my Wordpress Blog at
http://mariflies.wordpress.com. Maybe, just maybe, this time I will learn.
I'm definitely going to give it my b…

"The claims of these organizers of humanity raise another question which I have often asked them and which, so far as I know, they have never answered: If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind? The organize…

Opening night of the 32ND Annual Fall Arts Fest was a fulfilling social event for those of us who never get out much but enjoy the random congregation of scattered familiars to whom Taos is home. Congratulations to the Fall Arts Committee for reaching non-profit status at last! Thirty-one years of diligence to reach a goal deserves massive props. If there were snacks or a selection of beverages, I missed them, so, regrettably I can’t offer a review of our hosts’ all out graciousness. The new mis…

Newscasters seem so disappointed when impending cataclysms fail to be particularly, well, cataclysmic. It's disturbingly hilarious. Reporters doing their damnedest trying to tart things up, saying: "... the expected DEVASTATION and narrowly escaped HORROR!"
How could mainstream media ratings ever top 9/11? The current fixation with child sex-crimes might spike the curve a little, but all that "in-depth," "thought-provoking" coverage of psycho-social disturbance serves only as whitewash. Our coll…

My friend Leonardo from school has lots and lots of the biggest imaginations ever. Sometimes his imaginations are a little scary and he won't stop jumping up and down or making zoom zoom noises for a long time. He is very funny and most of the kids are his friends even when he gets extra mad for a few seconds and then falls asleep in the middle of the playground. (he NEVER sleeps at nap time)
He does art during snack time, plays kamikaze pilot during story time, sleeps at recess and sings all d…

The assignment was to complete the sentence after the given phrase (in

This is my entry.
I hear – the soft sound of my children catching their breath as I pause before turning the page.
I feel – safe and warm with my brood snuggled all around me.
I pretend – I may not turn the page; maybe it’s time for goodnight.
I rejoice – as I see their interest and hear them ask for more.
I suffer – when I think how much I wished I had time like…

You know, you gotta love it. Being on stage live in front of cheering thousands, in the studio creating something new and dynamic and exciting, on the film set making the magic happen -- what fun it is, how fortunate we are to be in that world making these things happen! And what a long hard road in-between those moments of glory - that's what motivates us to create the next magical moment - to rekindle that flame, feel the incredible energy of being there at the moment when something you make f…

The Public Academy for Performing Arts aka PAPA is the home to students in 6th through 12th grade pursuing theater, film, art, music, and dance.
Their lessor of their previous temporary home was cited with 45 counts against fire code and these children were set into an emergency situation and transplanted into "Portable City" behind Bel-Air Elementary school.

I arrived a little late, I had to take my underage spooks to their haunting grounds before arriving at Studio Broadway, but the music was good and I love good music.
Del Puckett was playing as we entered and as always carried himself and his music to a place of greatness.
Some bluesy, some rock-y, some folks-y, played Del -all he did well and he had a few stories to tell. As his third gig of the day he still gave us his best and it was appreciated. Great job Del!! You're awesome! I'm, guessing…

For the second time this year I am having to attend the funeral of a grandparent. We lost my Tama in January and now my father's father, Joe L. Ward Jr. has passed on. I know that at my age MOST people have lost most if not all of their grandparents. I also know that I am VERY LUCKY to have had them in my life for as long as I have, but that does not make things any easier. Grandfather was an AMAZING man and will be sorely missed. I LOVE YOU GRANDFATHER!
