Somebody smashed in my front windshield today. No reason, no other damage, no theft, just vandalism. Unless my insurance covers it (HA!!), the cost of repairs will be about a third of my net worth. Fun, eh?

I was already feeling depressed last night about monetary things anyway. Go figure. But the thing about times like these, though, is that they provide lots of incentive to do creative things, reach out, and invest in oneself. When the economy goes down is actually one of the best times to go back to school, when society seems to suck is a great time to volunteer, and when one's mood goes down is a good time to set one's energies towards some bigger goal than making ends meet.

Hopefully everyone else is having a better day than me, but in case you're in the same funk I am, I recommend a good artistic endeavor. 'S'not like you've anything else important to do, right?
