The past few weeks I've been trying out bass players with my new powerhouse drummer, Alejandra Arrellano. First of all, Alejandra is a seasoned pro and has an instruction video that has been mentioned in guitar magazine. She's excited about this project as much as I am. So as of now I'm just trying to find the right bass player. He's gotta have just enough blues and jazz with rock. Once I have the right bass player I'll need a keyboardist. Now, the right keyboardist is going to be hard to come by!! I make all the bass parts myself, but all of the keyboardists I've worked with have been organ monsters.. sadly none of them are available when you need them. Yet, I believe soon enough that Planet of Chaos will be seen on stage by many. I hope then that other people will be as excited as everyone who's been involved in this process.
I've been so fortunate so far. It has really been a blessing to be able to work on my own music in this way. There is a feeling to it all that is so magical. You swear you are plucking notes and words from the unknown! Your songs become living things unto themselves.
This whole process has been a journey into my potential as a human being. From band to band, to Project, to Planet of Chaos, to moving to LA, to forming a band.. all lessons to be learned. Baby steps! Questions of ,"Where can I put my next best foot forward?" A lot like free climbing a cliff, I guess... Ooooh! Bad imagery... You'd never catch me doing that shit! Give me safety harness or give me the ride home!
As for the small gathering circle of fans, "Rock is a state of mind, it works better when it's open!"
